SummerFest this Weekend

SummerFest will be held at the VUSD Education Service Center, 255 W. Stanley Ave., Ventura on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 9 AM to 2 PM. This is a day-long event of fun, physical fitness events, music and healthy foods. SummerFest also raises funds for nutrition and exercise programs. It is a free, family-friendly event with activities such as:
  • Gary Tuttle Mile for elementary school children
  • Frisbee, soccer, volleyball, tennis, basketball, hula hooping, and dance
  • All-day entertainment and fitness/dance demonstrations on two stages
  • Fun Zone with inflatables and climbing wall
  • Picnic area
  • Raffles and prizes, lots of giveaways
  • Interactive activities focusing on trees, composting, recycling, and gardening
  • Bicycle rodeo and skills course. Bring your bike for free safety check and helmet
