Registration information

Any prospective K-5 student living within the Ventura Unified School District may apply to enroll at Mound Elementary School. Due to limited capacity and the popularity of Mound's magnet program, not all students can be accepted. Students are selected by the district through the Schools of Choice program. Applications to attend one of the schools in this program can be submitted during a two week window in January before the school year begins. Students are selected by lottery. Invitations to enroll are sent to parents in the spring, although in some cases additional students can be accepted in the summer and fall. Once selected, a student may remain at Mound until grade 5.

The application window for the 2012-13 school year is January 13–27, 2012.
